Hi, I'm Peter Gigliotti
I'm a passionate sports media professional with experience in creative content, social media, and sports journalism.
Get to know Peter
Hello everyone! My name is Peter Gigliotti, and I am an aspiring sports media professional. As a native of Ashland, Massachusetts, I grew up surrounded by sports — playing them, watching them, and talking about them nonstop. Early mornings watching ESPN before school and summer nights listening to Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo call Red Sox games sparked my passion for sports media and ultimately shaped the path I'm on today.

I recently graduated from the University of Rhode Island, where I studied Sports Media & Communication and Journalism. Throughout my time at URI, I developed a versatile skill set across the ever-evolving sports media landscape. I consider myself a “five-tool” prospect in the industry, with strengths in broadcasting, writing, video editing, social media content creation, and digital & in-person marketing, allowing me to contribute in both traditional and digital spaces.

I have built a strong presence in sports social media, most notably through my New England Patriots-focused platform, PatsWithPete, which has grown to over 26,000 followers on TikTok. Through consistent content creation, I've developed skills in short-form storytelling, audience engagement, and brand growth. My work has led to opportunities with Underdog Fantasy, where I create sports content tailored to a national audience, as well as my work with Barstool Sports' “Barstool Boston” pages. My content has also been sponsored by Fanatics Sportsbook and featured on Bzzr, further expanding my reach and experience in branded content and digital marketing.

I have built a strong foundation in traditional sports media through both professional and on-campus experiences. I've completed internships with the sports departments at both WPRI-12 and WJAR-10 in Providence, RI, gaining hands-on experience covering high school sports, collegiate basketball, the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Celtics while developing my reporting, writing, and anchoring skills in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

At URI, I worked with the URI Football Team as a Creative Intern, contributing to digital content initiatives. I also reported and anchored for The Good Five Cent Cigar, the university's student newspaper, and served as a sideline reporter and color analyst for ESPN+ broadcasts of soccer, basketball, and football. I was also actively involved with WRIU 90.3 FM and the Rhody Sports Media Club, and served as a brand ambassador for the Harrington School of Communication and Media for 3 years.

Above all, sports are my passion, and that passion drives me to continually improve and grow in this industry. As my late professor, Keith Labelle, always preached, I strive to get one percent better every day.
